Industry mission to Belgium and Netherlands

From 8-12 September 2025, we participated in a business mission to Belgium and the Netherlands, organised by the Ministry of Transport in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Brussels and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in The Hague. This mission focused on the Czech space industry and its potential for collaboration with businesses in both countries. The initial three days were dedicated to the exploration of opportunities in the Belgian space sector. This was initiated on the first day with B2B meetings held at the Business Forum in the Prague House in Brussels, attended by the Belgian agency BELSPO. During the second and third days of the mission, we visited the following companies: SABCA, Anwerp Space, Redwire, Thales Alenia Space Belgium, and Space Applications Services. We then moved on to The Hague. The first day in the Netherlands was spent at the residence of the Czech ambassador in The Hague, where we had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Dutch space industry, with the participation of the Netherlands Space Office. On the second day, the programme included visits to leading Dutch companies in the field of space technology, namely AAC, Clyde Space, ISIS Space, COSINE, and NLR. We are eager to explore opportunities for further collaboration, and the upcoming ESA Ministerial Council is expected to facilitate new avenues for cooperation with both countries. Export Boost 2025

On 17 June 2025, the Export Boost event took place at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague with the aim of supporting exports, particularly in the field of space technologies. The event was organised by the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (AMSP) in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University, CzechTrade, CzechInvest and the Czech Space Alliance. During the event, the participating entities, including a number of our members, gave presentations, followed by bilateral discussions in an informal setting.

Czech-Spanish Space Industry Day

On 3 June 2025, the Czech-Spanish Industry Day focusing on Space took place at the Fanta Building in Prague, organised by the Ministry of Transport in cooperation with the Spanish Embassy in Prague and a number of other entities on both the Czech and Spanish sides. The Czech Association of Aerospace Industries was one of the local co-organisers, and Czech companies had the opportunity to present their capabilities to representatives of Spanish industry, including prepared B2B meetings.

Space Business Forum Czechia & Ukraine

On 21 May 2025, our companies participated in the Czech-Ukrainian Business Forum at the Liechtenstein Palace, which was the main event of a several-day incoming mission of nearly 30 representatives of the industry and research sphere of the Ukrainian space sector, led by the National Space Agency of Ukraine (NKAU). The event was organised by the CzechInno association with the financial, organisational and expert support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic. The programme enabled Czech and Ukrainian companies to present their interests and capabilities in the field of space and defence, including individual bilateral meetings.

Ve dnech 8. - 11. dubna jsme se účastnili obchodní mise do Jižní Koreje pořádané Ministerstvem dopravy. Na programu byly návštěvy průmyslových podniků a fórum na podporu spolupráce mezi průmyslovým a akademickým sektorem.

Industry day with VAST

On January 30th, the Czech Space Alliance supported a visit by the American company VAST Space, which was organized by the Moravian Aerospace Cluster in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport. The purpose of VAST's visit was to get to know Czech companies better and explore possibilities for future cooperation on a private space station that the American company is preparing. The visit was also a natural continuation of the memorandum of understanding signed with the company at the end of last year by the Ministry of Transport in the context of the possibility of Czech astronaut Aleš Svoboda flying into space.

Industry mission to Italy

On January 15-16, we accompanied Minister of Transport Martin Kupka on a mission to Italy, during which we met with a number of leading representatives of the Italian space industry. During the trip, we also visited the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and Thales Alenia Space.

SpaceTech Expo in Bremen 2024

From 19 to 21 November 2025, we were part of the Czech exhibition at SpaceTech Expo in Bremen. The Czech space industry stand was prepared by the CzechInvest Business and Investment Development Agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport. SpaceTech in Bremen is Europe's largest annual trade fair for the space industry, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises and entities in supply chains in general. Compared to last year, this year's edition expanded to include a fourth hall dedicated to start-ups. Although SpaceTech is a European trade fair, its size attracts a large number of representatives from overseas destinations, including the USA and a number of Asian countries. This year's edition confirmed the importance of this trade fair for Czech companies as an opportunity for networking and establishing business relationships, and we are already looking forward to next year.

Czech Space Week 2024

In 2024, the Czech Space Alliance was the main partner of the Czech space autumn events, led by Czech Space Week, which culminated on 5 and 6 November at the Černínský Palace. The Alliance presented itself at the Space2Business conference with an extensive exhibition of member companies, several panel discussions and, last but not least, its own event for representatives of foreign industry. On 7 November, the Alliance also organised a joint workshop for industry and academia in cooperation with the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where representatives of academia and universities had the opportunity to present their projects and ideas for cooperation to Czech companies.

IAC 2024 in Milano

From 15 to 18 October 2025, we were part of the Czech exhibition at the 75th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2024) in Milan, Italy. The Czech presentation at the IAC exhibition was prepared by the Ministry of Transport in cooperation with the business and investment support agency CzechInvest. The theme of this year's IAC was ‘Responsible Space for Sustainability’. The IAC Congress, including its industrial exhibition, is traditionally one of the largest global events in the field of space, offering a packed programme for representatives of companies, scientists, researchers and students alike. This year's congress in Milan was a success and, in addition to providing numerous opportunities for establishing business contacts and cooperation, it also provided a space for representatives of Czech companies and organisations to meet.

Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2024

From 16 to 18 October 2024, we participated in a Czech industry mission to the Japan International Aerospace Exhibition. The event was organised by the CzechTrade Agency, the Czech Embassy in Tokyo and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The event took place after a long eight-year break, and the Czech Republic was represented at the fair by a total of twenty industry representatives.

Visit of AXIOM Space in Czech Republic

From September 4 to 6, 2024, we organized a visit to AXIOM Space (USA) in the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic. The aim of the visit was to get to know the Czech industrial ecosystem and find suitable opportunities for Czech companies to participate in the construction of the AXIOM private space station. The visit took place in connection with AXIOM Space's offer to send Czech ESA backup astronaut Aleš Svoboda into space. The first day was an industry day at the Ministry of Transport, which offered all interested parties from the Czech Republic the opportunity to present their technical skills to AXIOM and participate in B2B meetings. The second and third days were filled with visits to companies in Bohemia and Moravia. At the very end of the program, AXIOM organized an excursion to the HYDRONAUT analog mission station, where the PROMISE mission began with the participation of Aleš Svoboda. The event resulted in a memorandum of understanding between AXIOM Space and the Czech Ministry of Transport on opportunities for future cooperation and promising prospects for the involvement of Czech companies in the AXIOM space station.

We contributed to the 86th issue of the EU-Japan Newsletter with an article on the activities of the Czech space industry, summarizing the most important past and upcoming events in Czech-Japanese space cooperation.

Business Mission to the United Arab Emirates

From May 27 to May 31, we participated in a business mission to the United Arab Emirates. This mission was prepared by the Ministry of Transport in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abu Dhabi. Its purpose was to promote cooperation in the field of space industry. During a busy five days, we visited the United Arab Emirates Space Agency, Khalifa University, and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. We also visited Yahsat and a number of other space companies. A bilateral business forum, which included representatives from the local space agency and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, was an essential component of the program.

International Aerospace and Defence Fair FIDAE 2024

From April 9 to 14, 2024, we participated in the FIDAE International Fair in Chile with a larger delegation representing the Czech aerospace and defense industry. The fair is the most significant exhibition in the field of aerospace, defense, security, and space in Latin America. The objective of the participation was to continue the ongoing dialogue on potential involvement in the Chilean SNSAT space program, which the Alliance, with significant support from CzechTrade, has been conducting with General Luis Sáez Collantes of the Chilean Air Force Command. The trade fair itself was preceded by a preparatory meeting between General Collantes and the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Sikela as part of his mission to South America in March. Following the visit, the intention was to organize a reciprocal mission for General Collantes to the Czech Republic, with the objective of fostering closer ties with the Czech aerospace industry.

Mission with the President of the Republic to Luxembourg

From 28 February to 1 March, with the organizational support of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic, we participated in the accompanying business mission of the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, to Luxembourg. The mission focused on cybersecurity and other IT fields related to defense and security, including space technologies. The mission included a business forum organized in cooperation with the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, including B2B meetings, a visit to a technology park, and a social event attended by the President of the Republic.

Mission with Minister of Transport to the USA

From January 21 to 26, 2024, Transport Minister Martin Kupka led a mission to the United States of America. The objective was to promote cooperation in the field of space industry and innovation in transport. During the six-day mission, we met with the CEO of NASA, representatives from SpaceX and Lockheed Martin, and participated in an Orlando Economic Partnership seminar. We also visited Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin, toured AXIOM Space and Collins Aerospace, met with several Congressmen, and engaged in other activities. As a result of the trip, the Ministry of Transport and CVA intend to strengthen cooperation with American partners and plan a reciprocal visit to the Czech Republic by the U.S. aerospace industry.
